Heart of London has enlisted global placemaking agency Futurecity to craft an Arts and Culture Strategy across the district.
The launch event will take place along Piccadilly, from Green Park Station to Piccadilly Circus with ‘stops’ in between highlighting the distinctive cultural, craft and creative assets of the district.
Futurecity have created strategies from developments to cities and award-winning public art commissions across London and globally. Some key strategic art-led initiatives include: winning the concept development for the competition for the Leo Villareal design for the Illuminated River project as the largest public art project; creating the concept of the Crossrail’s The Culture Line; the strategy for Sculpture in the City strategy, as well long-term cultural development for Wembley Park as the NW London newest cultural neighbourhood.
The Arts and Culture strategy will kick off along Piccadilly early-mid 2020.
