Formerly the British 10k, the Asics London 10k will be taking place on Sunday 21 July with  thousands of runners winding their way through Central London together. The race in is its 19th year and is anticipated that up to 10,000 running will be participating.

Road closures on Piccadilly will be from 5:30am until 12:30pm on Sunday 21 July. Please be aware of the potential disruption to the surrounding area and re-time essential deliveries or collections to your business. Stay tuned to your radio for live updates of any changes to the below schedule.

The Summer Street event on Regent Street will take over the road closure directly following the last of the 10k runners.

This is a High Impact event.

Key timings:

Saturday 20 July:

From 6am: Set up of the village on the Trafalgar Square North Terrace

From 6pm: Marquee set up in Waterloo Place

Sunday 21 July:

From 5:30am: Phase road closures including Piccadilly

9:30am: Race start

12:30pm: Last finisher and phased re-opening of roads (most at 2:30pm) including Piccadilly. *NB The Summer Street event on Regent Street will take over the road closure directly following the last of the 10k runners.

2:30pm: Bag drop closes

3:30pm: Village on North terrace Trafalgar Square de-rig begins

6pm: Waterloo Place clear and re-opened

8pm: Trafalgar Square North terrace clear

Starting on Eastbound Piccadilly > Regent Street > U-Turn prior to Oxford Circus > Regent Street > Regent Street St James’s > Pall Mall > U-Turn at junction with St James’s Street > Pall Mall > Cockspur Street > Charing Cross Road > U-Turn prior to Shaftesbury Avenue > Strand > Savoy Street > Victoria Embankment > around Temple Place > Victoria Embankment > Westminster Bridge > U-Turn > Westminster Bridge > Bridge Street > South of Parliament Square > Victoria Street > U-Turn by Broadway > Victoria Street > North of Parliament Square > Whitehall > Finish
