PROCESSIONS, is a nationwide artwork to celebrate the centenary of the passing of The Representation of the People Act, which gave women over 30 the right to vote in the UK.
This is a High Impact event.
Participants will be provided with either a green, white or violet ‘shawl’ to wear (Suffragette colours) to provide a flowing band of colour’ as the march progresses through London (Park Lane to Abingdon Street). The London event will be one of four events being held simultaneously, the others are in Belfast, Cardiff and Edinburgh The BBC will be covering the event ‘live’ (from 4 cities) between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.
A studio position will be positioned in Old Palace Yard along with outside broadcast units – build from Wednesday. A number of camera platforms and hoists will be positioned along the route. Numbers estimated are between 30,000 – 50,000.

1:30pm – Closure of St James St, Pall Mall, Whitehall
1:50pm – Step off
2:00pm – Closure of PSQ / BBC Live Coverage
4:00pm – Park Lane Opens / BBC Coverage finishes
5:00pm – 6:00pm – Phased re-opening to PSQ
