REPORT LAUNCH OF CULTURE AND COMMERCE: FUELLING CREATIVE RENEWAL

PARTNER-RUN EVENT

The Lord Mayor of the City of London is inviting Heart of London members to the report launch of “Culture and Commerce: Fuelling Creative Renewal”.

The event will draw together senior figures across the commercial and cultural sectors, to launch a series of innovative recommendations, developed by the Culture and Commerce Taskforce, in which culture and commerce can work together to support the regrowth of the creative sector and strengthen the competitiveness of the City, London and the UK.

The Culture & Commerce Taskforce, chaired by Lord Mayor of the City of London in partnership with the City of London Corporation and Culture Mile, was established to tackle the ‘cultural catastrophe’ faced by the creative sector in the City and across London as a result of the pandemic.

The report lays out the challenges being faced by the cultural and creative industries and seeks to make recommendations on how the cultural and commercial sectors can work together to support creative businesses through the crisis and maintain London’s competitive advantage as a global business hub.
