The Mayor of London has published his Draft Culture Strategy, which is open for consultation until 19 June 2018. The strategy sets out a series of policies and commitments for culture in the Capital, with the aim of creating a London that works for everyone, where all kinds of places and activities are able to thrive.
The consultation asks respondents to share their views on the big challenges and opportunities facing culture in London, and these responses will then be used to refine the outlined strategies.
Date: Wednesday 30 May
Time: 9:00am – 10:30am
Location: Heart of London, Board Room, Sackville House 40 Piccadilly, W1J 0DR
The Draft Culture Strategy is themed around four priorities:
- Love London – more people experiencing and creating culture on their doorstep
- Culture and Good Growth – supporting, saving and sustaining cultural places and spaces
- Creative Londoners – investing in a diverse creative workforce for the future
- World City – maintaining a global powerhouse in a post-Brexit world
Heart of London will be holding a workshop to discuss the strategy in detail, and gather views on the potential impact for our members. The feedback received during this session will be used to inform our response to the strategy.
