The Virgin Money London Marathon is one of the world’s leading marathons and generates significant public interest with an estimated 650,000 watching on street and millions watching on television and live streams.

The central theme for 2019 is based around #ThanksABillion, celebrating the fact that in 2019 the event will have raised £1 billion for charity since the first race in 1981. The event will also host the 2019 World Para Athletics Marathon Championships.

The event will take place between 9am and 6pm. As in previous years, it enters Westminster along the Victoria Embankment, Bridge Street, Parliament Square, and Great George Street where it then enters St James’s Park.

This is a High Impact event.
