Recruit London and Capital Arches Group hosted a recruitment workshop at the McDonald’s restaurant in Holborn.
Since the launch of Heart of London’s free local recruitment service last August, 14 business members have employed 44 jobseekers filling a variety of roles.
The scheme prepares candidates for the interview process and the job, and carefully matches them to the right employer.
Franchisee, Claude Abi-Gerges said:
“My team and I were very excited to take part in this joint initiative with Westminster College and the Heart of London.
“Hosting this workshop in one of our restaurants is a proof of our commitment to be actively involved locally and to contribute to the communities in which we trade. It was also a great opportunity to meet the students from Westminster College and to introduce them to some of the world-class systems that we operate at McDonald’s.
“We were really impressed by the interest and genuine enthusiasm from the students and I hope that we’ve made a positive contribution towards improving and enriching their learning.
“I’m very passionate about training and development, which is why at the Capital Arches Group and throughout McDonald’s UK, we invest a significant amount of time and resources into training and developing our crew and managers.
“I look forward to further developing our working partnership with Westminster College and the Heart of London, making sure that we contribute positively to our local communities.”
