New research, developed by Arup and commissioned by New West End Company, Heart of London Business Alliance and The Fitzrovia Partnership, considers in detail the impact the Elizabeth line is set to have on the West End.
Significant revenue growth is forecast with the opening of the Elizabeth line to bring an additional 69.6 million visitors to the West End area within the first three years of the first section of the line opening in December 2018.
For businesses to be able to make the most of this once in a generation opportunity, key transformational projects must be completed to ensure the West End can accommodate the predicted increase in visitor numbers, providing secure streets whilst remaining an attractive destination for visitors and businesses.
